Help a cat recover its toys stolen by aliens in Cats in Space Suits on Kickstarter As the title suggests, Cats in Space Suits features a cat in space.

It’s there because some mean aliens have stolen its toys for some unknown purpose and he wants them back. Obviously.

So you’ll fly out into the stars and use the space cat-apult (get it?) to fire the cat between space stations.

You’ll have to use the natural gravitational pull of nearby planets to help steer you on course so you could say it’s kind of a more puzzle-y Angry Birds.

Later on you’ll unlock jetpacks and rockets to help you navigate the tougher courses, which include moving planets, enemy space ships, and nebulas. Yikes!

If you like what you’ve read so far, you can help Cats in Space Suits become a reality by pledging in the Kickstarter.

Starseed has you performing bombing runs on massive vessels in the depths of space

Having worked on wordy iOS success Crobble, Shane McCafferty is back with another mobile title, and this time it’s a shmup.

Starseed pits your lone ship against a fleet of enemies and a massive spinning dreadnought that must be destroyed before progressing to the next area.

Taking its initial inspiration from classic shooter Uridium, Starseed blends old-skool shooting with new-skool control advances to great effect, and if you click play on the video above, you’ll see how.

Starseed will come to iPhone and iPad in the near future, so stick with Pocket Gamer and AppSpy for more information as and when we get it.

Freak Circus Racing is an off-kilter physics-based racing game headed to iOS and Android this month Freak Circus Racing is the most unique 2D racer you’ll ever come across.

You play as Hugo the human cannonball who has been unfairly fired (pun totally intended) from the Freak Circus because they want to turn his cannon into a racing vehicle.

Sorry, what?

Hugo decides to get revenge in the best way possible – by building his very own racing car and showing them what they’re missing.

You’ll challenge each of the freaks to a race and take their vehicle if you win. You can then customise and tune it to your heart’s desire to tackle the even tougher freaks later in the game.

The freaks include a rocket-riding dictator and a South American sugar lord.

Yes, Freak Circus Racing is absolutely nuts and is headed to iOS and Android very soon.

Kindo There are already plenty of classic abstract games on the app store. Versions of Chess, Go and many others abound, each of which is, in theory, deep enough to last a lifetime.

Yet developer Space Bears thinks we need another. It thinks we need Kindo.

It could be right. All the typical abstract games arose out of people playing face to face hundreds of years ago. Kindo, by contrast, feels tailor made for the mobile age.

It’s short and snappy – pass and play games last just a few minutes. Yet it’s also got a decent amount of depth and challenge.

Boxy

The game is played on a grid of squares. Each player’s “king” tile sits on opposite corners. On your turn you can take control of two tiles on the grid adjacent to squares you already own.

But all your tiles need to connect back to the king somehow. If they’re cut off by an enemy move, your opponent claims all the stranded tiles for themselves.

European Hearthstone players to get two free card packs to make up for connectivity issues Hearthstone players in Europe can now get two card packs for free, to apologise for “spotty” access last week.

Blizzard says that any account made in Europe before May 3rd will be given two free Classic Hearthstone packs in the next 24 hours.

They won’t ever expire, and can be found in your Open Packs section.

It won’t bring back the time you could’ve spent playing, but hey, can’t argue with free stuff.

And don’t forget to check out our feature on the construction of the recent Blackrock Mountain expansion.
