Moveless Chess is a new take on the classic game by the developers of Faif and Kapsula Beavl Games have tackled the puzzle-racer and puzzle-RPG in Kapsula and Faif. Now their next game is approaching chess from a new angle, coming to mobile soon.

Moveless Chess is exactly what it describes. It’s a puzzle game of chess board challenges, where you don’t move pieces but rather transform individual pieces into other pieces, in an attempt to checkmate the AI. You only have a finite amount of action points per puzzle, and each transformation costs a certain amount of points.

The AI plays by the proper rules, but you don’t, letting tactically transform your pieces to trap and capture AI pieces. The game will feature 64 challenges and other secrets when it releases on iOS and Android. A beta version with 32 levels is currently available on Google Play.

Minimalist puzzler Blek goes free for the first time ever Blek came out in 2013 and impressed us with its clean aesthetic and clever gameplay. Now the game is on sale for free for the first time since its release three years ago, on iPad and iPhone.

Blek revolves around drawing a line that mimics and repeats its squiggle pattern, letting the line elegantly slither around hazardous dots and touch the special colorful dots.

It’s an uniquely tactile mechanic that still stands out among iOS puzzlers years later.

You can download Blek from the App Store.
